Why understanding "Extraordinarily Ordinary" is critical to living your best life
In the self-help game we're often looking up to, and trying to learn from, extraordinary people. The idea is that we take those learnings and embed them into our own lives so that we can achieve some of what they've achieved, ultimately becoming more "successful" ourselves.
On the surface that seems like a good strategy. However, if you scratch under the surface, it's a completely sh#t strategy. That's because we're trying to learn the wrong things from these extraordinarily ordinary people. Don't get me wrong, they have a lot to teach us, however, you need to focus more on how and why they do what they do, rather than what they're achieving.
Because at the end of the day, no matter how extraordinary you are on the outside, on the inside we're pretty much the same.
